Rose & Crown Camping Site and Bar & Restaurant is closed for all leisure activities including vacations and dining out. This is in line with current HM Government guidance for Tier 3 areas.
We are able to provide accommodation for key workers who require accommodation to work in the area on a limited basis.
Things may be a little unusual for the time being and as a business it has required us to introduce numerous changes to how we operate in order for guests to visit and enjoy their stay safely.
It is mandatory to wear a face covering when entering any indoor areas on site.
We ask all our guests to be respectful of others and keep their distance when they visit us.
We’ve installed hand washing and sanitising facilities across our site to encourage regular hand washing and sanitising.
We’re encouraging contactless payments to avoid handling cash. The contactless limit for card payments has been increased to £45. You can use Apple and Google Pay too.
Cash is still accepted.
Accommodation is only available for key workers who require accommodation to work in the area.
Our Bar and Restaurant is closed.

How can I book my stay?
Rose & Crown Camping Site is currently closed
Please call 01406 426085 to discuss accommodation for key workers, that require accommodation in order to work in the area.
What happens if you need to close or I need to cancel due to another lockdown?
For any future local or national lockdowns caused by an increase in COVID-19 cases, guests will be offered a deposit refund or credit against a future booking should Rose & Crown Caravan and Camping have to close.

What happens during my stay?
At Rose & Crown Camping Site we want to keep everyone on our site safe, so please do not travel if you are feeling unwell or are displaying any symptoms of COVID-19.
On arrival you should report to the Rose & Crown Bar and Restaurant, where a member of our team will greet you and direct you to your pitch or Static Caravan/Tourer. Keys for all our Static Caravans and Tourers will already be in the unit.
Guests staying in our Static or Touring Caravans may check in from 2 pm.
During your stay
To help us all keep safe and secure we have erected prominent signage that helps remind guests to maintain social distancing guidelines.
We have reduced the number of camping pitches available to ensure adequate distance between guests.
All main doors to our shower and toilet facilities will be propped open to minimise the need to touch push plates and door handles, as well as keeping the area well ventilated.
Our shower and toilet facilities will have an increased cleaning schedule to ensure that all facilities are disinfected regularly throughout the day.
We have introduced new hand washing and sanitising stations outside our shower and toilet facilities to encourage guests to wash their hands before entering either facility.
All our team members will be wearing uniform to enable guests to identify our team and report any problems throughout their stay.
Across our site there will be additional hand sanitiser zones and we encourage all guests to make use of before and after using our facilities including the children’s playground and outdoor gymnasium.

We hope you have had an enjoyable stay at Rose & Crown Camping Site.
Guests who are camping or have brought tourers, campervans, motorhomes or trailer tents are free to leave as soon as they are ready.
Guests staying in our Static or Touring Caravans should leave the keys in their accommodation in visible place such as the kitchen or dining table. You must vacate by 10 am on the day of departure.
All guests should ensure their pitch or accomodation are clean and tidy before they leave.

What social distancing measures are you putting in place?
Rose & Crown Camping is situated on a large 6 acre site that provides ample space to facilitate social distancing. In addition we have reduced the number of pitches available for booking to enable guests to be spaced out across our site.
We have erected prominent signage to remind guests to keep their distance from others outside of their household.
What are you doing to increase hygiene on site?
We have increased the frequency of cleaning across our site to ensure that all facilities and our accommodation are regularly disinfected between use.

Tell me about NHS Track and Trace
Throughout the Rose & Crown Bar & Restaurant we have set up dedicated check in points for NHS Track and Trace in the form of a clear poster with a QR Code. Guests over the age of 17 must check in by scanning the QR code using the NHS COVID-19 app available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
What facilities will be open?
For guest at Rose & Crown Camping Site our Shower and Toilet facilities, chemical disposal point and washing up point will be open for use.
